How thick is your paver when feet are used?

Form the people running pavers under feet on a table, how thick is your paver?

I have two fire bricks (9” x 4.5” x 1.25”) between my egg and table. Fits perfectly using the BGE table nest.

+1 for 2". Actually 2, 2" pavers with about 2" of space between them. No feet.

If you have a "table nest" the paver is not needed.

I was thinking of using two pavers that are 1.5 inches thick with no feet... Anyone go straight paver?

sure, some people do, but when I first started I had my large sitting directly on a round exposed aggregate cement stepping stone. It was in the winter and I don't know if water was an issue so the stone was cold and then the egg got heal hot, but I heard a horrible CRACK and found the stone had broken clear in two! Ever since I have used the feet for air circulation but still on top of new cement stones.

An air gap is the best thing to have.  I had my egg on a paver which was on my wood table.  Paver eventually cracked and when I removed it to replace, the wood under the paver was charred.
