Here's a question
So... You finish cooking whatever,,,, and you close the lower vent and put cap on top. How long does it take for the fire to go out. I know the egg stays hot for hours, but how soon could you open the lid and let it cool, just in case you did a cook and want it ready in a couple hours for another cook - and cooled down before starting. Has anyone ever checked this?

If I was cooking again in a couple of hours I'd dial back to 200 and crank it back up.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys -
+1 on just dialing it back and then opening back up to whatever temp for the second cook.
