Cuban Quesadilla

 I have a mother-lode of pulled pork from yesterdays egging, and we are having pulled pork sammies for dinner tonight.   I am working from home today, decided to do a "Cuban quesadilla" for lunch.   A couple of tortillas, pulled pork, some egg smoked ham from last week, pickles, and Swiss cheese, and there you have it.  More interesting than my usual lunch for sure!  Of course it is really  tasty!

It just struck me. I've been to Cuba a few times and I can't remember seeing a tortilla. Lots of great breads but no tortillas. Cookinbob, I didn't mean that to derail your post at all.

Without a doubt, a real Cuban sandwich is normally made on a french type roll which is pressed.

Just my take in that I had tortillas and no french bread.  It was good, I will do it again.  

Being a US citizen, we can't go to Cuba like you Canadians.  I hope you enjoyed the cigars, rum and sandwiches while you were there (they do make Cuban Sandwiches in Cuba - right?)

I just remember that they had Canuck beer. Food was sort of bland but they are rich in carribean lobster.
