Weekend Pizza

Had my first shot at some pizza on the egg this weekend turn out delicious. Did 3 pizzas at around 550°f platesetter in legs up grate on top with another grate raised about 3" with carriage bolts and a BGE stone. The dough was fresh Publix bakery dough let it sit on the counter for about an hour after getting it home. sauce was a Paula Dean recipe. Each one I let cook for about 10 min toppings were cooked well and the crust had a good crisp bottom. I think I have my go to method down even loved the store bought dough.

That pizza looks great. I haven't tried a pizza yet, but all of these pics are making me want to try soon.

  • I would definitely give it a try! I did a lot of looking around on here before I tried mine and thought it was going to be way harder than it was. I not that picky when it comes to pizza though as long as its not burnt its good for me. But this was the best home made pizza I've had. Publix dough works great too.
