Paiche (fish) on Sale at Whole Foods - should I do it?
Anybody have experience with cooking Paiche? I plan on walking to whole foods after work and see they have great deal on FARM RAISED IN PERU PAICHE FILLETS - should I get some for the BGE?
I googled it to see what it looks like and almost spit out my coffee! For some reason I cant post pics - so here is a link - beware!

At first I thought it might have been badly-spelled "pike"; then, the fish in the pic :-O looks like a pike!___________

looks to be a firm white fish. I found a few recipes and all seemed to be tied to Whole Foods some way or another - they are really pushing this amazon fish hard. I think I am going to grab some. If I dont post anything about the outcome - just know I died trying to uncover a new BGE favorite.Columbus, OH

It's probably just fine to eat. Lots of companies find ways to rebrand and sell south american/asian fish to the rest of the world.. preferably in high-end supermarket chains in the U.S. for a large profitLubbock, TXLarge BGE
