I watched the replay. It was really Drew Doughty vs Tuukka Rask. Both goals were soft, so hopefully this is a wakeup call for Canada. They played Finland's game despite dominating and the Crosby line generated no offense. Babcock sat St. Louis and Subban(after Subban was criticized for bailing out teammates on 2 plays). Does he even know what he's doing?
  • Rask stole 4 or 5 goals. Subban's young and overly aggressive but a great shot. I think St.Louis was better with Sid. Too bad Stamkos didn't heal up.

  • I hear it all from my Canadian friends. Too many superstars, not enough chemistry. The opposing goalie "stole" the game. Bounces didn't go our way today. There were a few questionable calls. The GM picked the wrong guy.

It never ends. They field the best team year in and year out but the excuses never end. If Canada doesn't win every game by 3 it's seen as bad game. Every time.

  • It's no wonder a Canadian team hasn't won the cup in 20ish years

  • Sorry? Vancouver 2010 and 2002 in Salt Lake. After the collapse of the Soviet Union we rocked

I didn't quite get that either. Didn't know all the Canadian NHL teams were all star lineups from Canada. :-?
  • Hate to do this but Vancouver lost in 2010. I am from Detroit but Vancouver is my favorite team. Unless I misunderstood you and you were just talking about appearances? Not trying to start anything

  • Haha wow I am an idiot. Do not respond to my last post. Just realized you were talking about Olympics. My bad. 2010 was the same year Vancouver played for the cup against Boston so I was confused

I was talking about Olympic wins. 54% of the NHL is Canadian. We cheer for laundry.

I know, Steve-o. I should have been more clear in my post agreeing with you. I was referencing the Canadian "all star line up" being the Olympic squad, not the NHL teams located in Canada. It is evident that my snark was not clear enough. Carry on.
