Hillbilly hut....pic heavy!

So I've been working on this off and on since summer and I'm almost there. I will probably finish up in the spring but for now it's very functional. I just need to finish the face frame and some trim work. I got the oak boards (it's actually flooring that is 3/4 by 10 and 12") from a Habitat For Humanity Restore location and the cherry from a friends grandfathers workshop who passed away a few years back. The lights are made from old camp stove funnels, copper tubing and some old still funnels.

Set up is amazing, I would be a little worried about the Egg sitting directly on the tiles, heat might be a problem. Or you can tell me to just STHU, you can do what you want. Very nice work!

Thanks! I haven't heard anyone talking about that. It seems most set ups in kitchens or table are right on the tile or block. Does anyone have any info on that?

Yeah, you probably want an airgap between the egg and the tiles. A table nest would take care of it.

The nice thing about the small ones in the back is they shoot into the Grill when the lid is open so I don't loose any light when the lid is open.

Thanks guys! The lighting was a lot of fun. I'm one of those people who goes out of his way to find something different. My wife will usually ask me what I'm up to when she see's me working on something and most often walks away shacking her head and wishing me good luck.

When you titled it Hillbilly Hut and then I saw the copper, I thought you were using old whiskey still parts! Love the lights. For what it's worth, my wife dig em too. Maybe I can do a cool project like yours one day.

You got it right! The two bigger funnels are from still's. The small ones are Coleman camp stove funnels.
