Anybody have experience cooking with cactus

Options
I just got back from Cabo San Lucas and went out on the town to explore and eat. Discovered a nice little restaurant that had margaritas that were to die for. We ordered the Molcajete Loaded with everything. I could not though get enough of the cactus. Think this week I'm going out and buying one of these bowls and cooking on the egg with it. imageimage

The Molcajete is made of volcanic stone, so you can put it directly on fire to heat it up, and finish your dish.

Normally, you cook everything as you normally do, and at the end put it inside the hot molcajete with tomatillo sauce (green tomato).

Regarding the cactus (we call it "Nopal" in Mexico), you cook them directly on the grill, while the coals are still high. It's done when it bends by itself and the outside skin is a little bit charred. Put some garlic salt, and lime on it, and enjoy!
