Has anyone had experience with this charcoal in their egg?

Not in my egg, I have used it in a pig roaster when I did a whole pig. For the egg I would stick with lump since you can closely control the temp with air flow. While these would be fine as they do not have any additives to ruin the ceramics, lump can achieve higher temps and doesn't produce as much ash.They/Them

Stick with the hardwood. Briquettes are no good.
