    I've done both in BGE and oven. Prefer egg for many reasons but, 2 in particular...1> can't get the brick oven taste etc in a conventional or convection oven. 2> I don't mind the mess that occurs when sliding from peel to stone in the egg. But, in my oven I do because then the cleanup sucks. Clean up in egg>> burn it off NP. I just prefer the taste and everything in BGE and so does SWMBO. So it's settled the BGE wins in my home :-D
