Egg Table Lighting

  • My BGE is a little over 2 years old and the measurement between the two handle screws is 5 3/4 inches.  When I went to my BGE Distributer they originally sold me this Weber style light that did not fit my BGE.  But, they then ordered the correct sized one that fits correctly for exchange. The point is that there are different sized lights that can fit different BGE's as they have made minor modifications in this case to the handle attachment screw posts.

A couple of pics are attached of my light.

  • And the light works great.  I appreciate it the most for seeing into the BGE for cleaning out the old remaining charcoal and putting in the new charcoal and lighting it.  After all you hardly look into the grill when it's cooking. "If your lookin, you ain't cookin"

  • The light hangs down below the lid screw posts 5 inches.

There are no product markings on the light at all to give you, but I believe it is called "Grill Out Handle Light" by Weber.

There are different versions of that Weber light. The one that fits the older handle is one of the 2 made for the Weber Q grills.

They are a very high volume BGE distributor.

Weber item #6503, available on Amazon for about $25. I have one and it works very well. I've also seen it at Lowes.

Amazing!!! Now can some one tell me how my light for the past 14 years knows how to shine brightly exactly where I want to see, let alone allow me to use both hands while doing so? Here's a hint...it looks like this.
