Where's the egg?

No egging for a while. While I can and have egged in this cold, I don't feel the need to prove it this weekend. Freezer is loaded with egged leftovers. Pulled pork, prime rib, turkey, sliced round. I'm riding this storm out inside!

  • I have cooked on the egg 3 times in Minnesota this week this cold sure takes the fun out of it. You guys are getting hit with cold and snow I think staying inside sounds like a good idea. Take care

MN here as well. Opened the garage door and tailgated with the mini tonight. Pulled down the tailgate of my truck and set the mini on it. I used the walls of the garage to tame down the wind and cold

If I had a small (next year) it would be cooking in the garage (door open of course). XL and table are decidedly not portable!

No shame in not using the egg when the weather sucks. For me the egg is all about relaxing, and cooking good food. If you are not enjoying the eggsperience it's not worth it. wait until it warms up to like 25 degrees!

It was 2* an hour ago and warmed up to 5* in the last hour. If my medium wasn't on the deck right off of the kitchen I probably wouldn't have cooked tonight, but I'm off of work tomorrow so I'm doing some chicken breasts and a T-Bone.
I raise my kids, cook and golf.  When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.

Part of the appeal of the egg to me is the fact that you can do the same cook in a foot of snow and cold that you can do for July 4th weekend...

I eat stuff year round that most people have to wait months for until "grilling season"...

I'm with you, did 2 cooks this week, maybe one this weekend if the wind and snow let up. The setup and in/out in this wind and snowfall (16-20" total) would take the fun out of it.
