first time smoking on egg
I plan on smoking a pork butt on my new egg for the first time this weekend. I have cooked hamburgers and a couple of pork tenderloins this week. Temperature control amazingly easy. How many chunks of wood should be thrown on the coals to last the entire cook? I have used a barrel smoker for many years. They are easy to add wood if necessary. I really can't see an easy way to add wood on the egg if needed.
Any advice is appreciated.

I ususally use 3 or 4 chunks on a Pork Butt (Apple).Ova B.

+1 with @calracefan. And make sure you disperse the chunks throughout the lump load so as the fire travels the circuit you will have smoke. If you have chips instead of chunks, I roughly (and not scientifically) equate a good handful of chips to a chunk. FWIW.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
