Spare ribs tenderizing help !!!!!!!!!1

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
Has anybody tried using pappaya paste on spare ribs to tenderize meat? I would like to try this tonight but wanted to know if anybody has done this before. This may reduce cooking time...

    Sujit Chokshi,
Haven't tried it but I think tenderizers tend to make meat mushy. Pull the membrane off and cook the ribs slowly. That's really all you need to do to get tender ribs.

    Sujit Chokshi,
While papaya definitely has a tenderizing effect, I don't really think it will help you much. Besides, unless you inject it, it will not have an effect on the meat deep between the bones. [p]The real tenderizing comes with heat and time. No rushing good ribs.
    IMO FWIW![p]Happy friday
