Maverick, DigiQ, and Dome

So I'm cooking a brisket and I have the DigiQ set at 250. The maverick probe is placed right next to the DigiQ yet it reads 275 and the dome thermometer reads 325. Why the difference?

Comments

  • Dome temp will always be different from grate (assuming thats where your probe is). It might eventually even out later in the cook. have you calibrated your maverick to see if it is reading accurately?

I haven't calibrated it, however you're right. About two hours into the cook all of them were withing ten degrees of each other.
  • yea 10 degrees isn't anything to sweat about, looks like everything is working just fine. Let us know how the brisket turns out
