Cooks Illustrated rated this DO a Best Buy some years ago. A fraction of the cost of Le Creuset, and works exactly the same. Have had mine for several years and the enamel has held up just fine. 

The knob on the top of mine was a phenolic knob, rated for 400°F or something thereabouts. I replaced the knob with a metal cabinet knob from HD, and recently replaced that with a metal Le Creuset knob from Amazon.

@ChuckChampion -  forgot to mention that i only swapped out the knob initially because i was gojng to try baking no-knead bread in the DO at the time.

Do y'all know if any size le crueset knob will fit this dutch oven were talking about?

@ChuckChampion  I'm thinking a knob is a knob. As long as the hole in the lid accepts the screw for the new knob it shouldn't be a problem.
