Introduction - Cedar Table
lombard
Posts: 23
Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself and my table. I've been working on it off and on for the last few months. Inspired by the naked whiz table. I built it out of cedar, glued and screwed with a bunch of pocket hole screws. I'm still contemplating what I want to do as far as a stone/granite surface for a hot zone, but wanted to get cooking ASAP. Picked up my large egg this weekend and put it all together. Cooked a couple of burgers on it today just to try it out.

Welcome again from Tennssee! Try a Spatchcock Chicken. That is an excellent first / early cook. You will never look back!

Welcome, from Oklahoma. Table looks good. You will love your Egg. I agree with the above, spatchcock chicken is an easy / good cook for a new Egg.- Proud owner of a Large BGE- Norman, OK

Hmm, apparently I forgot about my own introductions...
Living in Merritt Island, FL. Work in the rocket launching business. I try to keep myself a little busy in my off time with some minor woodworking projects. Typically use any new project as an excuse to buy a new table. Other free time is spent homebrewing beer (and what could possibly go better with grilling/BBQing than beer?).
Almost zero experience with low and slow cooking. All my previous experience has been with cheap charcoal grills and my beloved Weber gasser.
Really looking forward to getting further involved with this new toy.

Hello @lombard, great looking table. Another Rocket Scientist Merritt Islander here. Finished my table a few weeks ago (with the help of a friend), finally put my large BGE in my table this last weekend (see my table post here). I have had my egg for 2 months or so, absolutely love it. Welcome.Rob, Large BGE, Merritt Island, (Space Coast of Florida)Boiler UP
