Invertabird is on
Set the pizza stone on the woo and put a rondelle on some plumbing tees. Didn't need the height cause the bird is small but wanted to see how much I could get. Salt and pepper inside and out, some herbs stuck in and a half a garlic bud on the top of the stand.

All the pics look OK to me. What did you stuff in the turkey cavity. I'm thinking of carrots, celery, usual Simon & Garfunkle herbs.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Invertabird looks good! How long did it take approx?(your pics are usually elongated when viewed on my phone, but show up fine if the phone is horizontal. Must be an aspect ratio issue).#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I put it on at 5 and took it off at 7 give or take. Threw the plastic out so I have no idea what the weight was.

What size bird????LBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

Nice looking bird you cooked. Can't beat and inverted egged bird IMHO. Legs north results in very moist breast meat.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

Speculating here, but I smoked a 12 lb turkey, indirect, 350°F in a drum smoker last Thanksgiving and it took about 2.5 hours to hit 155 in the breast and 170ish in the thigh. So I'm guessing that it was a similar size bird, maybe smaller.grege345 said:What size bird????#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
It wasn't very big. I seem to remember it being around 6 bucks a Kg and it was just under 30 bucks so maybe 10.5 pounds. I didn't get any pics of the whole bird as I wanted to make sure the thermapen was visible and concentrated on that. Family was really happy with it.

Hope you didn't have trouble keeping him upright with all that wind yesterday!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

I don't count it as snow if it doesn't stay on the ground so no; but, technically yes.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti.
