Chicken and fresh Louisiana Hot Links, fresh Cajun Chicken Links.......I will make Gumbo tomorrow for lunch at office on Tuesday......they had Gumbo last week and want it again

Can you share your gumbo recipe.

The best thing to do is google gumbo. Pick a recipe that looks good to you and go from there...I never make mine the same way twice.....start off with what looks good for a basic gumbo and then add or delete ingredients to your liking.....this is how the old time cooks in Louisiana make their gumbo

@thailandjohn - surely you have an initial recipe that you start with and tweak from there that you could share.

I can Google with the best of them. I just like to hear how other people make theirs and thought maybe on this one you might share as that is what people on this forum usually do. Or might this be another secret from maybe an old Cajun woman that you are sworn to secrecy?

It is no secret....I just don't use a recipe.....my beans with fresh smoked ham hocks and sausage, no recipe etc.....I just like to cook and experiment
