I bought one of the guru's other adapters to modify the base on a metal vertical water smoker I have.
This way I can control the temp on it this summer when I take it out on the company camping trip.
My egg doesn't travel, but my $65 metal vertical smoker does.  And now my BBQ Guru works on both my LBGE and my Brinkmann Vertical Smoker.

If you are selling it because you prefer to manually control the vents, that's fine, but if you plan on getting a different smoker, and getting another controller for it, you might want to wait and see if all you really need is a $20 adapter for your new rig.

Same adapter plate for L and XL. You just rotate it 90*.
