Newbie Pizza Question
I have a very simple question. I'm attempting my first pizza tonight and my wife wants a spinach and broccoli pie. My question is, do you generally cook or steam the spinach/broccoli first or just put the raw veggies on the pie directly? What about mushrooms? Thanks in advance.

I would cook the broccoli first maybe not completely but soften it up. The spinach will be fine raw. I always do mushrooms raw. Good luck.LBGE Knoxville, TN

Precook anything crunchy unless you want it to remain crunchy.Minimax and a wood-fired oven.

+1 on the broccoli. Spinach and mushrooms will be fine.Try and get your baking stone up a little higher in the dome (i.e., above gasket level). This will help your toppings get cooked before the crust is overdone.By the way, welcome! As has been said before, the only rule on this forum is "pictures or it didn't happen".---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada
