My Egg Table
After nearly two months of slow, deliberate construction (and a bit of flack from the wife), my Large Egg finally has a new home! Built it right on the deck off the kitchen! At over 400 pounds, I better hope we stay at the house for a few years as there is no way it will make a move!!
Table frame built with 2X4s and 4X4s. Cement backer board. Mastic adhesive with slate 14X6 natural stone interlocking pieces. Cedar wood tops and doors stained with simple router edges.
I spent hours looking at hundreds and hundreds of table designs finding what worked best for me. If you want more details, just let me know!

Sorry guys. Have been absent from forum for a few weeks.
@ Aquacop. It totalled right around 650 bucks, but could have been alot cheaper if I would have used different stone.
@GATraveller. I don't have formal plans, but took many more pictures that you could look at and probably get a good idea what it took to put together. Let me know.

Looks great! What are the round pieces on the table top to the right of the egg?---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

I took these photos to a local carpenter and he quoted me $4K to build this out. I think you could start a small business with this table.
