Is it normal for the dome to become a little stiffer to open at higher temps as the egg expands? Just opened my dome after an hour at 400 and it felt a little heavier or stiffer than it first did?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm not sure I ever noticed anything like that but it could be I just never noticed. I would check your bands for tightness and give it a good once over just to be sure everything looks right.

That's a new one.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd.

My dome seems to get heavier the more I drink. Could that be the problem?__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Does the ceramic expand and if so the bands must get a little tighter right?Wouldn't that put some extra pressure on the hinge/spring making the dome stiffer??Hows ya gettin' on, me ol ****?Kippens.Newfoundland and Labrador. (Canada).
