My new BGE arrives tomorrow so I've been building (repurposing really) a home for it. My Grandfather's old wooden table saw was perfect for this project.
Can't wait!

I love that. Great idea.

Very cool man. You may want to make sure it can hold the weight of the egg. I am sure that is the first thing you thought of but given the age of that piece thought I would throw that out there. What a unique table. Thanks for postingColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

I've reinforced the bottom shelf and the piece is still very solid. I think I'll take another look and see if I can reinforce it even more. Wouldn't want to damage the table or my BGE. Thanks!

Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

Man, that is just wayyyy cool. My grandfather was a carpenter and I know how much I cherish his old tools. I also know how we men love to bond with our eggs and tables. Knowing the relationship you have with this table and your grandfather is priceless.
Nice work.
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.
