Table Decisions

Have made decision to get BGE. Want table rather than nest. No woodworking tools and less skill. Has anyone had experience with DJ Designs tables. Also, any recommendations for other table builders in addition to the tables from the Company. Located in south central Indiana.

I thought I wanted a table, but the nest and handler is not so bad. Easily mobile and not such a big foot print.
Good luck on your questSeattle, WA -
Are you set on a wood table?

I'm ashamed what I did for a Klondike Bar!!

My personal opinion is that if you have a skil saw and a drill, build a table. I am not a wood worker at all but built mine.
Just follow the plans in naked whiz site and you are golden -
If you decide on a table make it big enough to fit two eggs. It's inevitable. I made my own table and now I'll have to make another one and I'm no woodworkerLBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

Not definite on wood table. The metal cabinets I've found are $$$.

I have plans that I drew on my cad system. If you want a look let me know. You can always improvise from them. The basic dimensions are there.Simple ingredients, amazing results!

Another option is buy a stainless table - this one is $114. Take it to a duct shop and have them cut a hole in the top or do it yourself with a drill and a jig saw.

Would be interested in plans. Have talked to one person and two dealers have also talked to carpenters/handymen and no one shows much interest...not even a price quote.

Did you look on your local craigs list? I always see people selling tables or offering to make them.

Had no carpentry skills and built my own table

The pic shows my cart which was a simple design. A friend gave me a slab of granite when he remodeled his kitchen. I cut it for the sides. The casters are 5" diameter which I recommend as a minimum size because of the weight and ease of maneuverability. I used non treated southern pine and stained it. My rig is kept in the garage. Most treated lumber is not that good looking or has the best grain patterns. I bough 2 x 8 lumber and ripped the boards to 5-1/2", giving it a clean appearance. I used a good outdoor stain and sealer. Grill surface is 36 inches above ground level or the same as a standard counter height. You don't have to use granite, but when its free take it. A good alternative for the top is Maple, Oak, Cypress, or whatever you like. I can convert my drawing files into pdf files with all the dimensions for you.Simple ingredients, amazing results!

Have found a couple of calls to make from Craigs List. Also, saw a table on Pinterest with the XL in the middle. I see most all tables have BGE to one side. Other than split work space, would center placement work. The one I saw was from distinguisheddesigns.com Clicked on that and rec'd the message that site wasn't available. Anyone heard of them. Thanks again for all suggestions.
