First Attempt at a Table

Lower shelf is a little low. Had to use some thick marble tiles to clear the hinge. Not sure how I feel about the white table tops either, but I am very happy with the Green Egg color matched legs and skirts.
I was also messing with the little feet to cure the wobble when I took this pic. That's why they are on backward.
Maybe some day I'll be able to make one as nice as some of the others on here.

Looks good. So much more stable than just a nest!I cook. I eat. I repeat. Thornville, Ohio

Nice table, don't worry, it won't be white long

Looks fantastic!
I wouldn't worry about the shelf being low...lots of people do it on purpose to have more storage space, and they build little risers to jack up the egg so the hinges clear.

Nothing to be ashamed about there. Looks good to me. I'm with the crowd of lowering the bottom shelf for more storage. I'm using the table nest as well as some concrete pavers. Lets me put a 14" tall rough tub on the bottom shelf, or stack some hot grates of whatever needs to go under there out of the way. I also made my table a bit higher than most. I don't like a low work surface.

My table is in desperate need of re-finishing. At some point this summer,I plan on sanding it down, and doing the two-tone stain as well. I'll probably go with a tan and dark brown scheme, but after seeing your table, I am much more confident that it will look good. Nice work, man.

Truth be told I originally wanted to just stain it, but had to use wood filler to cover some flaws and nails. Didn't think it would stain well even though its listed as stainable filler.Large BGE

I have a low shelf too and added some bricks to have the hinge clear the top deck hole.
