Condensation inside BGE Thermometer

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
Hi everyone,[p]After using my BGE during some inclement weather, rain fell on it, and there seems to be some condensation inside the termometer display. Anyone know how I can disassemble it to dry it out?

    Terence,
No need to disassemble it. It will dry out on its own. Mine does this all the time and always drys out eventually.

    Terence,
Whenever my old thermometer got so bad that I couldn't read it anymore, I would just place it in a warm toaster oven, about 175 degrees, for 25-30 minutes. Always came out dry as a bone.[p]I eventually had to replace it a couple of months back due to extreme miscalibration (after nearly 7 years), so I did disassemble it. Somehow the needle had become bent and was touching the dial causing it to stick at various points. I twisted everything back into shape put it back together with some silicone sealant and now have a perfectly good backup (although a little uglier than it once was.)[p]Cheers,
