Travis really is a nice guy.

I told him I wanted him to present a flag to my family at my funeral.

He said "I look forward to it".

Pam asked me the other night that if I could know how and when I was going to die, would I want to know?

    I said "No".

Then she said "Well, nevermind then".

Look folks.  You're heart is in the right place, but you haven't listened to Travis.  He is very uncomfortable with all this adoration.  He is a volunteer in the armed service, and that is his career choice.  Yes, it's honorable, but so is being a doctor, fire fighter or lawyer .  I think Doc pretty much nailed it when he said that "saying thanks makes US feel better".

I showed this video to another active duty soldier friend, and he said he'd punch the lights out of the first person that does that to him.  I think the best salutation when passing a soldier would be just a smile and a nod.  That's it.

So, it might be best to let this thread die and treat Travis like anybody else here.  In other words, be nasty, irreverent, and sarcastic to him.
