Chicago area purchase

Can anyone help me with dealers in the Chicago area that are having any sales for memorial day? I'm looking to buy an egg and figured this would be a decent time to not have to pay the full price.
I've looked into egg fests and the closest one is 3 hours away, so this doesn't really seem worthwhile (only 10% discount).
Thanks in advance.

Call around to different dealers and find out the best price. You can barter off one another this way. I am sure one will at least price match the fest.

You aren't going to find a better deal than the fest prices from what i see here on this forum and i think it is MORE than 10 percent.

The eggfest in Peoria has a registration page with prices and the discount was only 10%.Is there a better time of year to buy to get a discount??

Having the Egg immediately and especially for Memorial Weekend is worth many times more than the 10% discount you seek.
Take my advice. Buy the Egg immediately! The enjoyment you will get will greatly outweigh the time and possible discount.

Well, try to swing a ten percent discount on everything you need, including the egg!! That would be well worth while. My nice barganed with an Ace Hardware store and one guy told her she could have 10% off her entire package. She asked me to pick it up with her because i had a truck. The manager "nixed" the deal when we went to pick it up, said she could only have 10% on the egg!! I knew she was very upset, but looked at me and said "lets go!"... She never said a word going back to her house!! When we arrived, she went in and called the owner of the hardware store, she knew him!!! He straightened the whole deal out quickly!! And when we went to pick up the material, they didn't charge her for the platesetter or cast iron grid because they were in the egg when they loaded it on the truck.

There were no fests planned locally when I decided I had to have mine a bit over a month ago. Wandered to the local Ace/dealer and talked to him. He is a big Egger and loves to spread the gospel of eggness and was kind enough to give me 15% off everything I bought, egg, plate setter, 3 bags of BGE lump, grid lifter, etc. Ya don't get if ya don't ask.
