Anybody ever use one with the BGE? I'm kind of curious how they would work for heating up in the LBGE. Any thoughts appreciated.

Man I have never used one. I know you can buy the custom cast iron 'inlays' that you put on your grate to sear in your emblem. That might be easier than an iron (I am just picturing my 18 month old who is into everything grabbing it, branding my 4 year old, and putting it back before I could blink).Anderson, SC

I got given one that you could make your own words on it was a load of crap. I kinda wish I had saved it to try on the egg though.Lynnwood WA

I got one of those as a gift about 10 years ago. Get it red hot in the lump and it'll brand a steak just fine.Packerland, Wisconsin

i got one for christmas, it works good i reverse sear while heating the egg for the sear i toss it down in the coals, toss a grid in sear the bottom on the grid and hit the top with the iron about 60 secs. its fun but a lot of extra work. i think @village_idiot has one too.

@Eggcelsior my mom ordered it off amazon. there are tons of them on there. i've only used it twice but its fun. the colder the meat the better the brand. i will cook a steak or a chicken breast and post a pic tomorrow.

That's the one I got. The are made nice I even branded a grilled cheese when I first got it I was jazzed. Good thing I didn't have it when I was in college because I would have branded myself.MrCookingNurse said: -

VI, you just made me run and take a double look at my hot dog brand! LOL. That image was a GIS that I grabbed. I believe they show it that way for illustrative purposes. Mine is indeed inverted for proper branding.
Love the idea behind your brand!

Love the brands. 1. I am originally from MI and am a Wolverine Fan. I currently live in Western Nebraska and will be working at cattle brandings the next two weekends both in Wyoming.
