So I tried the Chicken ABTs (Chicken Bombs) recipe this weekend. Yep, they were awesome. The pics are pretty much self explanatory, so no need to caption.
Next time, I'm going to leave some of the pepper seeds in, they weren't hot at all. Other than that, they were a huge hit.

Nice!
I have done similar where I diced the peppers into mix of cream cheese and shredded cheese. Never thought about half pepper like that. Consider it stolenBoom -
Very nice! Gotta love bacon wrapped chicken! Did you use boneless/skinless breasts?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I tried these the other day as well and mine didn't turn out like yours at all. Perhaps I pulled them too soon? My peppers werent cooked very much and the chicken had a boiled type texture to it. How long did it take you to cook em? Thanks.

The original recipe said to cook for 20-25 minutes, but when I checked them the bacon didn't quite look right. So I kept them on and checked every 10 minutes. Total cook time was 45 minutes.
I cooked indirect at 350 with the plate setter legs up. I don't have an adjustable rack yet, so the grill is directly on the legs. I think the recipe may be for cooking direct, but I was concerned with the bacon grease causing flare ups and charring them.
I'm considering two adjustments for next time. Either a thin layer of chorizo on the chicken, then rolling the pepper. Or, adding a shrimp in the middle.

@nashbama you might have answered, where is the handle on your egg? And can't wait to try this recipe
-
@DeaconKav actually, you're the first to ask. I gave it to a cousin who was working on a custom handle. I just got it back yesterday and was about to post a pic. Nice timing!
-
They look great. Can't wait to see your new handle.
