The little gadget BGE sells to pick up your hot grill is a neat idea but go to Harbor freight and get a bar magnet to pick up the grill with and walaa a whole lot cheaper you can get the grate off the magnet with anything from a glove to a stick

Didn't find the bar magnet at Harbor Freight, but I use one of these on every cook.  Have one for these small and large;

However, a spatula and a hot cast iron large grid is not safe for your feet.

My daughter bought me the BGE grill remover -- didn't ask what it cost -- i would have never bought one for myself, but must admit, the thing gives me complete control of any grid...
