I just got my woo and baking stones for my mini. I was thinking about pizza tonight. My question is about set up. do I just put one stone on the grid? or do I use on stone inside the woo indirect and the other on the grid? or is there some other setup I need? Thanks.......

It is a little hard for me to see. I am assuming that you are using the one stone?
-
I find two stones works best for my pizzas. One on the woo crossbars and one on the grid.
My lower stone is wrapped in foil so you can kind of see it.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

Well....I got this a little late. I did pizza on tortillas. It was great but the bottom was blackish. It tasted fine. Next time I'll know to use two stones. thanks.

Rusty we always use tortillas. The above pic of mine was not pizza, just for you to see the stones. But you got to try this: <img src="http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc79/mjrawls/photo-292.jpg" border="0" alSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

@Mickey: just found a guy in Houston with a real neapolitan pizza oven that makes nutella pizza. The Mrs liked it better than her real pizza.
Can't wait for the egg to make it down so I can start egging again.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket! -

One stone...bad!
Two stone...better! (just realized I don't have a bottom of the crust picture off the mini)

Griffin.....that's what mine looked like last night. The wife likes pizza so much that she didn't even mind!

Am I the only one that gets better results with just one stone? I cook on a medium and I find that I cant get above 450 with a plate setter and or two stones.
Raised direct 1 stone. ~675. Perfect charring but not burnt.

Sounds like you might need one of dem der Hi-Que grates (or whatever they are called) that people are always going on about.

Looks like 2 stones using the Mini Woo ring is the way to go for pizza.
