I noticed a Big Green Egg branded instant thermometer (PT12) on eBay. It generally goes for $20-$25. Has anyone used one of these? How does it compare to the Thermopen or other instant thermometers? Thanks!

    IT WILL NOT COMPARE TO THERMOPEN. Sorry to be so loud but people think they do.

    IMO the Thermopen should be the second item you buy after your Egg. Plus you will use it as much indoors as out......

    Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.
