What type/brand should I use for my table? It's made out of cherry.

Go With a spar urethane.
Sand table and apply one coat
Sand table with medium grit
Apply another coat of poly
Sand with fine grit
Apply another coat.......
I use steel wool after the first sanding. More coats and sanding...smoother finish. Be sure to let the product dry before sanding 24-48 hrs.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN -

If you can, apply the first coat before you assemble, if you're making a table. I find if you completely encapsulate the wood, it seems to result in a very water resistant finish.
