Question for those of you with tables

We are adding an area in the yard where I plan on doing a counter with sink and including the large egg in the setup. The question I have is how do you cover your egg when it is built into a table or counter top unit?

BGE does make a dome cover that covers the Egg itself in a table. Custom covers will be another (more expensive) option.

I use a 4 wheeler (ATV) cover from wallyworld for $30.

I use a 69" BBQ cover from Lowes...less than $10.00 even here in la la land. Works well and covers the table and egg.

Mine sits out year round in a permanent structure in Wisconsin weather and still looks brand new. No need for a cover at all.Packerland, Wisconsin

I am about to buy a patio table cover for my new table. The table is 72" by 34" so no grill cover will fit it. There are plenty of all sizes on eBay for patio furniture.

Uncovered in the Texas heat (and the skeeters) with no issues. The table will suffer before the egg.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

I know it will do no harm to go naked, but I have done it in the past and just didn't like the egg to be dirty.George

I bought BBQ/grill island cover from covermates (the-cover-store.com). I got the 7' elite cover for mine, and it is a nice cover. Waterproof, seems to weather sunlight well. I spray it with a silicone sealant/uv protector two times a year. I think I might have bought it from reseller for a lower price than they have it on their page. It was the only thing I could find that would fit my xl in a large custom table. It has an adjustable elastic band along the bottom and has a continuous mesh vent along the long sides. The vent strip sits below the level of the second shelf on my table, which was built to the general dimensions of the BGE table, with the sehlf about 13" below the top.

I have just ordered a custom made cover made of sunbrella. I figure it will be useful for the wintertime to get all the snow out of the table and egg quick. I got mine from a local manufacturer, but you can get a custom one from http://www.grillwraps.com/ (expensive) or even better http://coverworks.nakedwhiz.com/ (order back up til february atm) If you can get one that fits from Cover store good for you.Benefit of sunbrella is it is breathable and lets moisture out.Quebec - Canada
