Murky,
There will be 20-30 of us who will have campers along the back straight away of the track. (over looking the Eggfest area) We will have parties Fri & Sat eve. Last year there were 75-100 people there each night...you and yours are invited to join us. Also we will be cooking as a group on Saturday...ask for the North Georgia Eggers contingent...
-
Awesome! I know we met some people last year up in that area. Looking forward to the day. This is our 4th Eggtoberfest and we are just soo excited I got tickets the last minute.

Stop by and say hello...seriously if you have never been to an Eggfest you just do not appreciate how kind & giving Eggers are. We will have 75-100 people out by the Trackside Terrace camping area on Friday & Saturday night. We will all be eating, drinking, laughing and enjoying each others company. Last year one of my new Egger friends asked "do you know all of these people"? I replied "not before tonight"...so stop on by...bring a chair and your favorite libation..you can even bring something to cook...we will cook it for you if you like....hope to see y'all next week...

We arrived in Atlanta yesterday, well be waiting in line for our new egg with you. If you have time to go to the Georgia Aquarium it was awesome until we came out and saw that someone tried to break into my truck while we were inside. Have fun just be careful where you park downtown.

damn miscreants!

Thats probably the nicest way to put it. Luckily they got away empty handed. All things considered it could have been alot worse. I'm not going to let it ruin a good weekend at the speedway.
-
Just arrived in town from Indy!!

We're on our way. Just driving along on Interstate 16 thinking, are we there yet? No... How about are we there yet now? Sorry childlike comments. )Beth Hardeeville, South Carolina

Nice to meet Beth and a few others who stopped by and introduced themselves...I hope y'all got some of my cookies...we had a great time cooking ...hope y'all had a great time eating... :+))
-
We had a great time eating!!! I was so excited to get home and start cooking- I cooked all day. My family loves that! I started out smoking fish, then I grilled some lamb chops and pineapple and I made some turkey/feta/Annie'sGoddess meatballs. The day was so beautiful yesterday. I imagine most Eggtoberfests are not that warm and sunny- which is probably why they ran out of drinks early. Thanks for cooking!!!Johns Is, SC

Thanks for cooking everyone! My son and I are going to cook next years I think! Any advice on how much meat (how many lbs) to plan on serving?
Looked like there were more attendees and fewer cooks this year than last. Did anyone else think so?
-
Hey Kim it was nice to meet you also. The cookies were great! I did some toll house last night but don't think I took a picture but there are a couple left. I'll try and take a picture and post. I did over cook them but they were still edible. Oh well, can't perfect it without practice!Beth Hardeeville, South Carolina
-
beth,
Cookie practice is fun..... :+))
-
dsl,
The folks from the Mothership said it was about the same as last year...3200-3500 attendees with 250-300 cooks...that is about where they want to keep the attendance...
