Fire Ring Upside Down?

Hi,
I just assembled a large BGE over the weekend. I've used it twice and absolutely love it. I do, however, have a question on the fire ring. It has rectangular notches on one side and half-moon notches on the other. Every assembly video I watched showed the half-moon notches on the top and the rectangular on the bottom. But mine will only fit with the rectangular notches at the top. Is this a problem? It doesn't seem to effect the operation.
Thanks

Nevermind. I discovered that the rectangular notches match up perfectly with my plate setter, which I used for the first time last night.
