Smoked Ginger Chicken

Has been a while since I posted so here is the latest thing I've done on my LBGE, a smoked ginger chicken, butterflied from Bobby Flay's recipe found at this link:

It turned out well and the family liked it except for my oldest son, he thought the "smoky" flavor was a little too much.  This was the first time I included cinnamon and cloves with the apple wood for smoking;  and I used Royal Oak Lump.  The cloves were very distinct but I couldn't smell the cinnamon at all.  The ginger paste added a nice subtlety to the flavor.  You can see how it turned out in the photo.

Cheers!
KC

P.S.  Lime-Ade with a touch of Captain Morgan spiced rum made a nice beverage accompaniment.
