"A Quiet Place of Violence" is a must read. Also a must read for anti-hunters.

This explains the book better than I would. http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/conservationist/2012/08/book-makes-you-understand-why-you-need-huntBoom

One of my favorite lines so far "I am a meat eater, if only because there is no animal that has the ability to eat meat that chooses not to."Boom

"I hump the wild to take it all in; there is no bag limit on happiness. I get a full predator spiritual erection from pursuing "bear, lions, coons, housecats, escaped chimps, small children, scared women, and everything else that can be chased and/or hunted." - Ted Nugent from the book, - "Kill it and Grill It."

Ha this book takes a slightly diff approach to hunting than Mr. Nugent. Though there are many things he does I agree with or am jealous of there are many things I don't. I think he hurts the cause more than he helps. This book aims to increase knowledge of the "why" behind hunting. It helps hunters eloquently express themselves while providing an indelible presentation for anti or non huntersBoom -

Book really isn't about non-meat eaters, tho it is talked about for few pages. It attacks, or disagrees, with certain types of hunters. It is more about the reason we hunt and the "process" of hunting and what the end goal is. He takes a philosophical approach in building and deafending his thesis. It's not a gun and ammo shoot 'me up type book. It's restrained and intellectual.Boom
