Butt..its raining

Ok,   I am doing my fourth butt cook tonight and it is calling for rain.   Dome is 250 right now and holding steady.   Can I expect rain to change anything or should she hold rock steady?

Rain did not affect mine, do you cook under cover at all?  I put an umbrella over mine and the only problem was smoke hung under it and got into my eyes.  Temp was no problem.

I got a 6" roof vent cover from a local hardware store fits right on the DW and lets the smoke flow.

First be thankful for the rain. But first time I tried with substantial rain I got hosed. Then I got one of those, if i remember right 6" chimney vents at ace. Fits perfect over the daisy wheel.

You'll be good with or without the vent cap. I use the same thing but don't think it really matters...I just like the piece of mind of having the DW covered.

I've never had a problem with our without the dual function top thingy.

You will be fine. In the Great White North it rains all fall, winter, and spring. My egg loves it, without any rain cap. I do tie a " soap on the rope to one of the shelves though"
