This one is fantastic on the Egg. I have made a few times now. I will warn you though....it's a bit pricey to make, but sooo worth it. I made it last Thanksgiving, along with Mad Max's turkey.....both were big hits.

AleBrewer, did you use a dutch oven for your cook? Indirect or direct?

Here is my Four Cheese Mac recipe: http://necessaryindulgences.com/recipe-macaroni-four-cheese/I've done this in the oven and on the BGE -- 350F, Indirect.I'm Kristi ~ Live in FL ~ BGE since 2003.

Jmille15....I did it indirect. I used a rectangle ceramic baking dish on top of a few 3/4" SS nuts on the plate setter.
Kristi....that looks good! To me, a bechamel is a must for mac n cheese. Gotta have some well browned bits on the top too. I like to leave it in a bit longer, and get some nice browned bits on the bottom too. I like to throw some lobster meat in it too....once in awhile.

Here is a variation I like:
Pasta, Mac & Cheese, Loney, Loney, Holy Macaloney!, Richard Fl INGREDIENTS: 1 Lb Ditalini Pasta, Cooked per package directions. 1/4 Stick Butter 1/2 Large Vidalia Onion, Chopped medium. 2 Tbs Holy Smokin' Chipotle 3 8 Ozs Pkg Cream Cheese 2 Cups 1/2
& 1/2 HEAVY CREAM3 Cups Chopped Loney (Baloney), ham or whatever meat you prefer 3 Whole Hatch Green Chiles, Chopped or 2-4 Ozs Cans 1/4 Cup Chopped Garlic Chives Seasoning of choice 1 Cup Durkee's French Onions PROCEDURE: 1 Take the butter and sauté the onions. Add the cream cheese
cut into chunks and the 1/2 & 1/2. Place on low heat and melt, may want to
whisk at the end for the little chunks of cream cheese that do not melt. Add the
chiles and the meat, stir and then add the garlic chives.2 Place in a greased baking dish and place over the top the
French's onions that have been crushed in a ziploc bag. Add more chives for
garnish.3 Bake on BGE 350F indirect for 45 minutes Serve as a side
