TWO Beer Butt Birds at Once???
The Preamble: Thanks to everyone on this board for the advice and wisdom that you've shared here. I'm new at Egging, but have had a short string of successes so far...[p]The Question: Tonight I'm entertaining, and need to cook 2 beer butt chickens. I have two roasting hens that are each about 4 lbs. Can I cook them at the same time, as long as I leave as much airflow room around each bird as possible? Has anyone done this? And am I correct in assuming it will take longer two cook 2 birds than one?[p]Thanks in advance! And if it turns out, I'll post my results here for others to see. (BTW, i'm using a dry spice rub from the current issue of Cook's Illustrated...I'll post the recipe later!)

DaveG,
You can cook them at the same time with no problem. They will be done in about the same time as one bird. I do mine at 250-260*. Have fun and make sure to save a bite for yourself.
