Anyone going to the BlueGrass EggFest in Kentucky this weekend?

Hi Eggers, I am all new to the egging world, but after not being able to purchase one at my local dealer, it made my passion to find one ignite!! Then I found this forum and have been blown away by the photos and everything. I go to bed each night with my mouth watering after reading about an hour of posts new and old. So I am off to the EggFest to get my demo egg at a discount, thank you to whomever mentioned that on a post I read. Is anyone from here planning on going? I would love to meet up in person, I plan on bringing the egg home with me afterwards, do I need blankets or towels? Any other suggestions are appreciated.
We are heading down tonight from Indianapolis and staying in Frankfort, kind of making a mini eggcation out of it. Ha ha. I'm a REALTOR and have showings on Sunday but I still plan on coming home and cooking on the egg that night. Gotta break it in right!

Hopefully the organizers make sure it travels well, but I would call and ask. Better to bring blankets, towels etc and not need. And here's a heads up from someone a few months ago when transporting a demo BGE home from a fest: the lump started smoldering during the trip. Make sure all used lump is out of your BGE before heading out. Congrats on your purchase and welcome-it sure can become habit-forming
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

I made it to Frankfort and now just watching TV and waiting for sleep to come! Excited to attend my first EggFest! Brought some towels ams blankets. Also thanks for the suggestion to be sure the egg is empty of lump. I would hate to be driving and have the van start smoking!
