OMG - BGE Pop Corn

I've been thinking about this for awhile.
Got the dome stable at 400. Pop corn was soaked in vegetable oil. Note to self, drain oil or dump over the indirect side.
After the smoke and flames cleared, I put it back on and closed the dome with the basket direct. Starts popping at about 380 grid temp. Listened to it pop for awhile, and when it started slowing down opened the dome, and shook the basket direct until it was done.
Stirred it with some butter Pam and sea salt, and time to eat.
I wish I could have captured a pic that showed how it looked popping.
Pics to follow.

Looks great! I was thinking of doing popcorn in my wok. Where did you get your basket?

@Doc, did you cut the handle off of the basket? I saw those on sale but didn't buy one because of the handle...Simi Valley, California

How long did you soak the popcorn in the oil?

The handles remove. One of the reasons they are better than the square baskets.

Just a minute while setting up. It isn't marinating; it's coating. Don't dump over the coals!

Is that what they call the "steel grill chef's pan'?

Yes
Pop corn is the only thing I've found that requires the lid, but I love the basket.
