What do I need to do prior to using my CI grate the first time?

    all i did was put it on egg and cook i was told wasn't any need to do anything other than season it once in awhile . i did wash it first tho

    I gave mine a rub down with oil (like a CI pan), and cooked, but everyone said just use it.
    Bx - > NJ ->TX!!! 
    All to get cheaper brisket!
