If you have any other impressions of that Challenger cart, or the vendor, please don't be shy. It's on my list of cart candidates. Man, they are expensive... but they sure look nice and sturdy.

I'm pretty set on a steel table, or at least a steel work surface. Good storage is a must. I don't need to keep every chip and chunk in the cart, but I do want to keep all the ceramic and metal cooking gear under cover.

I have the challenger cart for the XL and absolutely love it.  The gaskets make it weather proof and it is really easy to keep clean. The egg sits on a paver.

Did you buy the table local or did it have to be shipped to you? How much?

Isn't that table made with powder coated aluminum?

I ordered directly from their website by sending an email and then corresponding with a Sales Rep who responded to my initial email. Because I had been 'burned' by Brian, I had a TON of questions about payment, shipment, etc. The guy I dealt with was completely professional, worked with me on pricing and my table was delivered to my home within 2 weeks of ordering. The price I paid was $1400 + (less than their 'list' price) and similar to what another person on the forum told me he paid through his dealer with a discount.
Again, this is a LOT of money to pay for a table. I felt the same way when I bought my first egg but looking back i know it was a great investment and I already feel OK about the $ i spent on the table. After giving up on wood, I did consider stainless but really couldn't deal with how it would look on our southern facing deck with all of the sun, reflection, etc. The powder coated aluminum offers several color choices and I don't think it gets as "hot" from the sun as stainless does.
From their website:Designed to Fit MOST Charcoal Smokers, Weather Tight Construction, Aluminum Powder Coat with Integral Towel Bar and Grab Handle, Frameless Laminate Doors with Full-Extension, Powder Coated Drawers and Shelves, available in three sizes: 76”W X 34”H X 24”D, 48”W X 32”H X 24”D and 24”W X 32”H X 24”D (Some Dimensions Vary Based on Grill Type)

any assembly and what was shipping? Thinking about one

NO assembly- it shipped via freight carrier in a large, well padded/packed box and was secured to a pallet. I negotiated delivery as part of my final cost. The delivery company called the day before delivery- because I wasn't going to be home, I worked it out that a neighbor could sign for it. My sense is that the company usually ships to a dealer, but they were really excellent in getting it delivered to my home.

Sales Rep has referred me to distributers in Georgia area since I am in Northwest Florida. Can you tell me what distributor you dealt with.

Well I filled a claim with Pay Pal and they gave Brian 10 days to respond and he did not so on the 11th day they refunded my money back to me. Now I am once again looking for X-large table/nest.

BeauPNS- I dealt directly with the company in Indiana - must not be a distributor near me (NorthEast) because when I emailed the company they dealt directly with me.
OB1 - glad you got your money back! In the long run, i am probably happier with the table I now have vs. what could have been produced by Brian. Good luck with your search!

I was also scammed by Brian. I ordered my table in late March and was promised delivery in 10 to 15 business days. I paid in full and am now working with AMEX to receive a refund. I heard many excuses from Brian including food poisoning, mono, and drawer slide supplier issues. His communication patterns are exactly as described in this forum.

This is what I just found when I went to his web site. All a renewal takes is a credit card number.

Brian's brother posted here almost a year ago and said he was Brian's webmaster.... interestingly, this same brother now opened up his OWN business with new website, etc. You can read more about it at this thread:

I made contact with Kenneth today expressing my desire to still obtain my table like I was expecting with Brian. I was very specific on terms of payment considering the other experience and he was more than accommodating. So I will play Guinea Pig and let you guys know how things turn out. He was very open and quite vocal on his need to separate from BC stigma.

Sigh!!  I wish I had found this site before I purchased my table from Brian.  I actually spoke to him, via telephone, shortly after I purchased the table.  We discussed tile color and he stated, at the time, that he was extremely backlogged.

I loved the look of the table and he was willing to make the modifications that I wanted so I pulled the trigger.  Well, I ordered it on May 11th and still no table.  PayPal is unwilling to do anything as they say it's past the 45 day limit that I have to file a claim.

    Once bitten...twice shy!

Say, for those of you who received a refund through Paypal, did you get the "full" amount, or did you have to pay the 2.9% fee and transfer charges?

I'm working through an ebay issue right now and was just wondering if I'd get 100% reimbursement or not.

My PayPal refund was for the full amount.

Mister C - if you used a credit card OR a debit card, call your company. They have a MUCH longer time frame for when a complaint can be lodged. Sorry you got burned by Brian - one of my primary reasons for adding a lot of information to this thread is the hope that others see it BEFORE making a purchase. I went with Brian based on the positive threads here and then, all of a sudden, it was apparent that MANY people were having problems.
