Did a road trip Thursday to Scotts BBQ, the place isnt much to look at but let me tell you AWESOME and I mean AWESOME whole hog. I seen it on both Anthony Bordaines and Andrew Zimmers shows on the travel channel. Got to go back in the pits and meet the owner Randy, nice guy had a good conversation with him about roasting the pigs.  He is open Thurs, Fri, Sat He put 8 hogs on Wednesday afternoon for Thursdays business. Cooked his first one at age 11 learned it all from his uncle and dad. I will be going back in June taking a couple of my beach buddies with me! The egg is my only way i can come close to this making this treat.

  • The closest you will EVER get to whole hog on an egg is a suckling pig or a whole shoulder. The WS ain't the same, but it is as close as you can get without doing the whole hog. It will not be the same as WH ever. What makes Whole Hog Q so great is that it is WHOLE HOG,all cuts mixed together. It cannot be replicated if even one part is left out.
