I have used BGE starters, oil/paper towel, propane torches, and electric starters.
I have recently switched to a looft lighter and really like it. It is convenient and very fast to get your fires going. As long as you have a nearby outlet, it is my favorite way to start the fire, second being a torch.
They are pricey though, haven't decided if it worth the money to get one. It will depend on how long it lasts. If I only get a year or two out of it, It is definitely not worth it. If it lasts 5 plus years, I would replace it with same thing.Victoria, TX - 1 Large BGE and a 36" Blackstone -
Agree...they are pricey but I love mine. <1min to light the center of the lump on a low and slow and I'm off. Convenient and no mess.North Pittsburgh, PA
