(MY BUTT LOOKS GOOD!) doing another butt today hope it turns out as good as last week. I am going to try the same methods I have learned from the the prior p.p. 1.7hrs per lbs. dome temp 275 turbo 8.5 hrs meat 5.8lbs 2 hrs in the cooler (will see) any suggestions?

Yep, what Chubs said. I have done many, many pork butts and while 90% of them fall in the 1.5 hours per pound area, I have had others go as short at 1 lb per hour and as long as 2 hours per pound.
Also, get a note book and keep notes. You will learn something from each cook.
